Sam Smith

Sam Smith is the L-ion Ltd CIO. Sam has been involved in IT data-centre operations for over 10 years and was appointed group CIO six years ago and is based in the Dublin office. Sam has held several senior positions in IT management in various organizations throughout Europe. As the person responsible for all L-ion Ltd. IT Services, Sam is continuously under pressure from the Line of Business heads to devote resources to their special projects. It is rumoured that VP Engineering, Terry Tudse doubts Sam’s ability to build the IT infrastructure needed for the Plant of the Future (Project Lioness) in Mexico to meet the future deadline of 10 months.
Sam regularly plays golf with a number of the C level bosses from IT companies in the Dublin area. Ideally Sam would like to spend more time playing golf and less time worrying about the data-centre.

Pat Weiss
Head of IT Infrastructure
Pat Weiss was appointed Head of IT Infrastructure two years ago. Pat knows IBM well, having been an IBM client in his previous company for over 10 years. Pat is technically very knowledgeable and is a great believer in hiring the younger, more creative software geniuses in the market to help support the innovative IT solutions, needed at such a High Tech. Manufacturer. Pat is based in the Bratislava office, is a big tennis fan and loves to talk about it.

Billy was appointed IT manager one year ago. Previous to this appointment he worked for a well known German car manufacturer in Puebla in Mexico. Billy relies heavily on his ex IBM colleagues to inform him of the latest innovations in the automotive industry. He is a firm believer in leveraging Artificial Intelligence for predictive maintenance and design.
